The party’s leader, Om Prakash Chautala, said the authorities were ignoring the community’s basic need and turning a technical issue into a political flashpoint.

Speaking to the press, Chautala urged the ruling party to abandon its rigid position and immediately restore the water supply to Chainat. He accused the government of politicising the matter because of what he described as dishonest intentions, suggesting that the delay was being used for political gain rather than genuine administrative necessity.
