Consumer panel orders full refund for cancelled wedding booking

A consumer panel has ordered a full refund to Harvinder Pal, a Chandigarh resident from Manimajra, after his booking at Panchkula Community Centre in Sector 6 was cancelled. The venue had been booked for his daughter’s wedding scheduled for April 26, 2020.

Panchkula Community Centre is located in Sector 6. Pal had reserved the centre for the wedding, and following the cancellation, the consumer panel directed that the full booking amount be refunded.

The order directs the return of the full amount paid for the booking.
