Aerocity cave-in: Supervisors, builder booked in Mohali construction mishap

An FIR was lodged at the IT City police station at 3.47 am on Friday after a cave‑in occurred at Aerocity in Mohali, with the site supervisors and the builder named in the complaint.

The Aerocity development, a prominent project in the rapidly expanding Mohali region, has drawn attention for its scale and the speed at which it is being executed. While the area continues to grow, construction safety remains a critical concern for residents and officials.

Sections 106 (causing death by negligence) and 125(a) (endangering life or personal safety of others) of the BNS were cited in the FIR, indicating that the mishap is being treated as a serious breach of safety standards.
