Immediate effect
Chandigarh administration ends the cash subsidy under the EV policy effective immediately. The decision, notified on September 25 through the fourth amendment to the EV policy, means the subsidy will be discontinued after all pending applications received so far through the EV portal are disposed of.
The cash subsidy, which had been offered to eligible electric vehicle buyers, will no longer be available once the pending applications are processed. The administration confirmed that the step follows the completion of the pending application queue.
