The National Students Union of India (NSUI) had called a press conference to present its panel for the Panjab University College Student Council (PUCSC) elections, but the meeting was deferred. Later, the Delhi leadership of NSUI confirmed that Gurman Singh Sidhu, representing the pharmacy department, had been approved as part of the panel. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is expected to finalize its candidate for the PUCSC elections next week. The PUCSC elections, which select student representatives for various college bodies, have become a focal point for student political activity in the region. Both NSUI and ABVP are traditionally aligned with the Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party respectively, making the upcoming contest a reflection of broader party dynamics on campus.
